Last post was coffee with the girls, this post a weekend away with the girls … anyone would think it was all I did … this was my first visit to the Hunter Valley and most certainly won’t be the last. The photos were all taken on a sunrise shoot on the property where we were staying and then heading out to the closest vineyards, a rather unimpressive sunrise and a rather soggy start to the day, but we got some great shots. The photos start from around 5.30 am till the sun peaking over the vineyards at 7.30 ish ..

Just starting to get light .. unbelievably I forgot my tripod base so handheld very high iso

As mentioned in my previous post I was in Melbourne last week to take some family photographs. Given I gone to Melbourne I didn’t think the usual format of photographs was what was needed. So this day I just let the morning unfold and captured the family starting out day 10 of their new family of 4 .. enjoy .. The 6th image down are so funny … I wonder what was said to cause this fabulous look ..

I was flown to Melbourne last wednesday to take some photographs for a lovely family. Whilst there, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend a workshop with the ACMP and the fabulous Lisa Saad, Robert Earp and Peter Collie … so inbetween family photos and the workshop I caught the train to visit a dear friend in Ballarat. We spent the day exploring Daylesford and surrounds, lunched at the Craigs Hotel and then proceeded to miss the train back to Melbourne .. I did manage to catch one of the last trains out. So some photos of our fabulous day …………

2011 saw many visits to Queensland, as DH was working there monday to friday. This was great for me as my family are all there. So we ended 2011 and began 2012 in Coolum on the Sunshine Coast, yet again with rain, but I think the East coast of Australia has had such a wet summer. On to some photos of the holiday ..

It Christmas …

and it’s time for baking and making again. This year I decided to make some goodies as chrimstas presents for friends. So the kids and I have been busy in the kitchen baking Gingerbread cookies and we made chocolate chip and oatmeal quick bread in a bottle, ready for gift recipients to make themselves.

Have a wonderful christmas and a safe new year ….

I have always been fascinated with the gum blossoms, gum nuts ready to explode into colour … I found some beautiful ones at our local florist, and had a play with them and lots of negative clean space ..

Images from lunch on Friday .. the hazenut and choc chip biscotti was made by me (recipe to follow) … the main reason for the lunch will be the next post… the recipe I had to create for a competition I entered.
